At VetTailor, we do our best to display accurate colors for every product — but sometimes, the item you receive may look slightly different in color tone from what you saw on the website or mockup. This is normal and expected within industry standards.
1. Why colors may appear slightly different
A. Screen Display Differences
Each device (phone, tablet, monitor) shows color differently based on screen settings (brightness, contrast, resolution).
Example: A “deep navy” may look slightly more blue or black depending on your screen.
B. Printing & Embroidery Variation
Digital printing and embroidery involve physical materials (ink, thread, fabric), which may react differently on various fabrics (e.g., cotton vs. polyester).
Slight tone shifts (e.g., darker or lighter shades) can occur depending on the material base.
C. Lighting Conditions
Product photos are often taken under studio lighting. The actual product may appear different under natural daylight or indoor light.
2. What is considered acceptable variation?
Acceptable:
Minor shifts in tone (e.g., 5–10% darker/lighter)
Slight texture differences between screen preview and real fabric
Color difference due to fabric type or lighting
Not acceptable:
Completely wrong color (e.g., you ordered black but received red)
Colors that distort logos/texts significantly
If you receive the wrong color entirely, please refer to this Acticle and contact our support team.
